The Grant will be used to promote pedestrian safety among Seniors/Older Adults, with the goal of engaging the community, sharing information, and collaborating with key city and county stakeholders to find solutions to make local roadways safer.

Community Outreach & Education

STA will be holding workshops with Solano County Older Adults and Stakeholders, conducting walk audits at identified areas of concern and compiling data to make future project recommendations to improve pedestrian safety. Check out the upcoming events!

Funding Partner OTS

The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is a state agency whose goal is to eliminate traffic deaths and injuries. OTS seeks to accomplish this goal by making available grants to local and state public agencies for programs that help them enforce traffic laws, educate the public in traffic safety, and provide varied and effective means of reducing fatalities, injuries and economic losses from collisions. This is the third grant that OTS will be partnering with STA on to improve safety in Solano County.
